Healing Love, it is God’s answer

for a broken, aching, heart.

Healing Love, it comes to comfort,

offers all a fresh new start.

Healing Love, let it abide here

in our midst, a sign of faith,

binding up the broken hearted,

bringing hope that transcends fate.

Healing Love, it is the answer,

for a world that’s filled with strife,

where ambition, greed and envy

lead to hatred, not to life.

Healing Love can break the cycle,

reach across the world’s despair,

touch the leaders of the nations

healing love: Make this our prayer.

Healing Love, indwell our spirits,

make a diff’rence, Lord we pray,

to our thinking, to our living,

to our acts, the words we say.

Healing Love, the love of Jesus

shape our being, warm our heart,

till our lives reflect God’s spirit,

This hymn is a tribute to the ministry of Andre le Roux.

Andre, who was much loved, and in his forties, had recently died.

Healing Love was one of Andre's themes.

A Very Covid Christmas

(This was a fun song written during Covid

when Jacinda Ardern was Prime Minister of NZ

and Ashley Bloomfield was Director General

of Health. It was sung along with Christmas

carols in the Hunter's Plaza mall. It is here as a

reminder of that time!)

At the first sign of covid

The PM said to me:

Keep in your bubble,

Stay home, no trouble,

THIS IS THE WAY!

H-a-n-ds you must wash,

San-it-ize, Sa-an-it-ize,

For a Christmas joyful and free.

In the next round of covid

Chris Hipkins said to me:

Let caution reign

Patience remain,

THIS IS THE WAY!

M-a-s-ks you must wear,

Be kind, care. Be kind and care,

For a Christmas joyful and free.

Along came Ashley Bloomfield,

With wisdom and advice,

Vaccines for all,

Roll out, don’t stall,

THIS IS THE WAY!

Take his advice!

Not once, twice. Not once but twice,

For a Christmas joyful and free.

In the third round of covid

The PM said to me

Red, Orange or Green,

Passes be seen.

Keep in your bubble,

Stay home, no trouble,

MASKS YOU MUST WEAR!

Bus, train or air,

To be blest, To-oo be blest,

With a Christmas joyful and free!

But covid is still with us

It has not gone away.

Boosting is needed,

Advice be heeded.

THIS IS THE WAY!

T-a-k-e their advice,

Get boosted, not once but twice,
